Having gotten our new ANZ Travel Visa Signature Card, we decided to try one of the perks that comes with it – Unlimited complimentary access to Airport Lounges around the world. To be more precise, not all airport lounges are included – nevertheless, there is still a long list of over a hundred Veloce VIP airport lounges around the world that the ANZ card holder is entitled to complimentary entry.
During our recent trip to Bali, we decided to make full use of this privilege of the card by making a visit to the Skyview Lounge at Changi Airport Terminal 1 before our flight on KLM to the Island of the Gods.
Skyview Lounge Changi Airport Terminal 1
The lounge is located on Level 2 in the Departure Hall near the “D” gates.
Here’s the sign that greeted us before we got on the escalator to Level 2. Apparently, it is used by many airlines and cardholders from Standard Chartered, ANZ and Citibank.
Just present your boarding pass together with your ANZ Travel card to the staff at the welcome counter. Supplementary card holders are also entitled free entry to the lounge. Once the staff verifies your card at the counter, its off to the lounge!

Pleasant Lounge Environment
The lounge is pleasantly furnished with bright yellow and red cushion seats, which are pleasing to the eyes. There are plenty of seats when we were there on a Saturday afternoon.
From the lounge, you could have a good view of the tarmac – I guess that’s where the name “Skyview” comes from.
If you do not like the sunlight that shines through the glass panels, there are more seat options – just follow the signs that lead you up to an upper level. There is even a shower room if you need a quick shower before boarding your flight!
In our excitement, we did not take photos of the environment upstairs! Here is a photo that is taken from a fellow blogger at http://flystaytravel.com/review-skyview-lounge-changi-airport-oneworld-and-priority-pass/.
Newspapers and magazines are readily available for you to pass time while you wait for your flight in the lounge.

Food and Beverages
Food options on both floors are similar – so you could just stay either downstairs or upstairs to enjoy your food. Options include warmly cooked food, soup, soft drinks and even instant noodles.
Food on the upper floor. Pastries for tea break before our evening flight.
Skyview Lounge Changi Airport Terminal 1 Final Review
Overall, the Skyview Lounge at Changi Airport Terminal 1 is a good place to rest and have some light finger food and drinks before your flight. We would certainly visit the lounge again for our next flight!
