The Hilton Darwin was our hotel of choice when we visited Darwin for a short vacation.
Hilton Darwin – One of the Best Hotels in Darwin

Located near the end of Mitchell Street, the CBD of Darwin city, the Hilton Darwin was a luxury stay with the convenience of the city.
Early Check-in and Good Service
We reached Hilton Darwin very early before 7 am as our Jetstar Asia flight from Singapore arrived as scheduled at 5.10 am. Despite the early hours, the staff at Hilton Darwin allowed us an early check-in at no extra cost – a kind gesture that was very much appreciated after the red-eye flight from Singapore. The efficiency of the hotel’s staff ensured that we were off to our room within the shortest time possible for a much-needed rest.
The room at Hilton Darwin was extremely spacious, and although the look and feel of it felt a little out-dated, it was pristinely clean and comfortable.

The bathroom – classy and immaculately clean.
What I loved most about Hilton Darwin was its toiletries set from Peter Thomas Roth – a mid-range brand that I was unfamiliar with, but which I grew to love after this experience at the Hilton. My favourite has got to be its body cleanser and its facial bar soap.
The view from the windows of my room. Not much of a view here, actually, because our room overlooks the city’s buildings.
The Facilities and Surroundings
Hilton Darwin had one in-house restaurant, Mitchell’s Bar & Grill which opens from 11am to 10pm. Its cozy setting makes it the perfect place to have a late night dinner after those exhausting day trips. Mitchell’s was also responsible for the meals that were sent up when we ordered in-room dining.
Quite pleased with the taste and quality of food from the in-room dining menu.
Mitchell’s was also where the buffet breakfast was served, and although we did not have the privilege of having breakfast here, the buffet spread sure looks good.
The gym and the swimming pool for the fitness-enthusiast.
The swimming pool was especially lovely for a night swim, although the water can get chillingly cold at this time.
The posh lobby.
Located at the end of Mitchell Street where most of the action of Darwin city was, Hilton Darwin was within short walking distance to shops, eateries and attractions of the city.
