In this installment of our Perth Travel Guide Series, follow us on a trip to visit Fremantle Markets, the best place in Perth for local produce.

Fremantle Markets Perth

Besides a shorter boat ride to Rottnest Island for those who are prone to seasickness, another advantage of taking the Rottnest Express from Fremantle is the opportunity to visit both Rottnest Island and the town of Fremantle on the same day!

Fremantle Markets was opened since 1897 with a huge selection of local fresh produce sourced from local growers. These days, the fruits and vegetables are fresh and healthy, with many organically grown.

Besides fresh fruits, there are also stalls selling dry fruits and nuts.

Best Food in Fremantle Market

There are a number of stalls selling food in the market as well. We did not eat at the market as we were saving our stomachs for a good sit-down dinner after a long day at Rottnest Island.

These cakes definitely look tempting though…

After a great time exploring Fremantle Markets, we could hear our stomachs growling…and it was time to head out of the markets to look for dinner. 🙂
