The Brown Sugar Craze
Brown Sugar Bubble Tea is the latest craze in the world. During our latest trip to Taichung in 2019, we made it a point to sample them in the country where all bubble tea originates from. Unlike Tiger Sugar (another famous bubble tea chain) which carries predominately Brown Sugar bubble teas in its menu, The Alley has a rather diverse menu that caters to customers with different preferences.

What’s so Special About The Alley Bubble Tea?
The Alley makes their bubble tea with sugar cane syrup instead of the traditional brown sugar. It retains the refreshing quality of their beverages while infusing it with a sweetness that leaves no undesirable sugary after-taste. In addition, their tapioca pearls called Deerioca are made in-house and are specially kneaded for an extra-chewy texture.

The Alley Most Iconic Series of Beverages in Taiwan
Brown Sugar Deerioca Series
Undoubtedly the most famous and the top-selling of all its beverages in Taiwan. We tried this at Fengjia Night Market in Taichung. The tapioca pearls (bubbles) were indeed superior and had a nice addictive chewiness to it. It was a tad too sweet for me, but then again, I never had a sweet tooth. All in in, this top selling beverage is a must-try beverage of The Alley.
